During adolescence the body undergoes significant hormonal changes and it is common during this period for teenagers to experience gum inflammation and soreness, mostly commonly in the form of gum bleeding (gingivitis) and ulcers. This change can be linked to a drop in levels of hyaluronic acid and therefore a weakening of the body’s natural ability to protect and heal.
This change in circumstances will no doubt be exasperated should the individual be wearing an orthodontic brace, where rubbing of the appliance on the gums will often result in lesions. In order to help relieve the symptoms and expedite healing we recommend the use of specially formulated Gengigel Gel Teen.
Gengigel Gel Teen is particularly useful for children wearing braces, who are more susceptible to gum inflammation and ulcers. Brace wearers are more prone to gingivitis, lesions caused by rubbing of the appliance and ulcers. The gel is to be massaged gently onto affected areas.
The gel contains hyaluronic acid which penetrates the gums below and restores a healthy balance. Hyaluronan is a highly effective topical treatment for traumatised gums; providing instant pain relief, reducing inflammation and accelerating repair of damaged tissue. 120 applications.
Gengigel can be used to assist with the treatment of the following:
